By accessing or using the Wawascene website (wawascene.com) or the Wawascene mobile app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

Wawascene provides a community platform for Lake Wawasee, Indiana, including:

- Live webcam views of the lake

- Weather forecasts and severe weather alerts

- Lightning detection and precipitation notifications

- Lake water temperature and level data

- Community events calendar

- Daily sunset videos shared on social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)

3. Use of Content

All content on Wawascene — including webcam footage, sunset videos, weather data, and event listings — is provided for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, or sell our content without written permission from Wawascene.

4. Push Notifications

The Wawascene mobile app may send push notifications for weather alerts, lightning warnings, and precipitation updates. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings. Weather alerts are informational and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for safety decisions.

5. Social Media Content

Wawascene publishes daily sunset videos and other content to social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. This content is original, captured from our webcam, and posted to our own accounts. Use of these platforms is subject to their respective terms of service.

6. Third-Party Services and Data

Wawascene uses third-party services including the National Weather Service (NOAA), GOES satellite data, MRMS radar data, Open-Meteo, and social media platforms. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or timeliness of third-party data. Weather data is provided by government and public sources and may contain errors or delays.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Wawascene is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

- The service will be uninterrupted or error-free

- Weather alerts will be delivered in a timely manner

- Forecasts, lake conditions, or water data will be accurate

- The webcam will be operational at all times

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wawascene and its owner shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service. This includes, but is not limited to, damages arising from reliance on weather alerts, forecasts, or lake condition data.

9. Intellectual Property

The Wawascene name, logo, website content, and sunset videos are the property of Wawascene. All rights reserved. The webcam feed, weather visualizations, and original content are protected by copyright.

10. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of Wawascene after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
